Job Description – Lead Business Analyst – GTMSS – Business Management Office (BMO) The GTMSS - BMO organization at VMware is looking for a customer, sales, partner productivity focused individual. VMware is a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment and will require flexibility to roll up your sleeves and participate in various roles to deliver success! Sales Productivity - Define and lead initiatives to drive sales performance and productivity in a SaaS context to fully exploit land, expand, cross sell & up sell, and renewal sales motions in partnership with the wider VMware core sales and sales operations team. Deal Execution – Support sales management and sellers with best practice deal execution techniques, drive acceleration of deal sizes and effective partner with Core and Specialist sales teams to maximize win rates for VMware. Operations business partner – act as the business partner for Americas field sales team for sales teams assigned to this role, liaising on program across HR, Finance and GTM Operations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional Sales managers, technical sales teams, core sales operations to help improve sales performance. Act as the point of escalation for Sales for any Sales, Delivery Operations or deal issues/challenges. This role will be responsible for working with key business partners and IT teams to deliver solutions to support VMware’s growing business with optimized process, policy & technology. Build Strategies for SaaS Partner Onboarding, Deal Registration, Partner Enablement, Training and Certification for providing a seamless partner experience This role will ensure alignment on reporting / analytic / Operations initiatives and the underlying process, policy & technology needs This role will need to work independently, across distributed teams at different levels of the organization. Handle issues and service requests coming from the Operations Teams and provide guidance to IT on handling cases. Proactively engage with project teams to understand the data/reporting impact of system and process changes Empower stakeholders by developing data-driven capabilities for obtaining and utilizing business insights Develop expertise on E2E GTM SS processes, life-cycles, and data drivers to recommend BI solutions and drive requirement discussions Collaborate on the definition of KPIs and metrics to monitor and run the business. Promote and support self-service reporting across Sales stakeholder organizations Lead reporting projects as needed, taking ownership of successful completion for the end to end lifecycle – from requirements through UAT, deployment Support communication, training, and documentation to enable successful user adoption of reporting and analytics solutions Work with global teams spanning different time zones. Required Skills: 8+ years’ experience in software industry - SaaS and Hardware business. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in delivering Strategic options to enable SaaS quoting operations Experience developing strategy, leading, and managing global projects. Comes with an Operational Excellence background Demonstrated success-record in driving change and innovation to process and people on a global scale, around complex operational and strategic cross-functional initiatives Advanced Salesforce.com and channel/partner operations and reporting experience for high-growth SAAS companies is a strong plus Systems oriented with strong analytical tool and database skills for data retrieval & provide insights Functional knowledge and experience working with the industry-leading BI tools: Tableau and SQL skills are mandatory; SAP Business Objects is good to have. Functional knowledge of business models, including Saas and related metrics in areas like Sales, Finance, Customer Success is important. Knowledge and/or working experience of agile methodologies and frameworks - Scrum / Kanban / XP, etc and Project Management experience Clear, professional, and concise communications (written/verbal), presentation, and facilitation skills.
