The F5 Digital Sales organization is a global sales organization with an opportunity to be a tremendous revenue growth engine for the company.  The F5 solution, now combined with NGINX, Shape Security and Volterra bridges the gap between NetOps and DevOps with multi-cloud application services that span from code to customer. This role is part of an exciting new team that is at the forefront of establishing cutting-edge opportunistic sales motions leveraging AI, digital marketing, big data and analytics to drive impactful and targeted sales coverage.

The F5 Multi-Cloud Application Services Platform enables enterprises undergoing digital transformation to modernize legacy, monolithic applications, as well as deliver new, microservices-based applications. Companies like Netflix, Starbucks, and McDonalds rely on F5 Networks to reduce costs, improve resiliency, and speed innovation.

F5 Networks is searching for an enthusiastic, eager-to-learn Business Development Representative (BDR) to join the growing sales team in China. If you are an early aspirant in your sales career or looking to work in a fast-paced dynamic work environment, F5 is the perfect place for you!

This position requires previous experience in an outbound role interacting with C-suite buyers. BDR candidates during the interview should not only be able to demonstrate the ability to comprehend F5 Solutions, but also the ability to pitch this effectively to new customers. They will also be expected to articulate how they would be creative and thoughtful in their approach to create market interest and solicit a response from prospects. This position is an in-office role that requires working from the office. However, due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, this role will require working from home as stipulated by the local country and company mandates.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule highly qualified meetings from outbound campaigns within a very select group of targeted major accounts.
  • Mapping the organization hierarchy, identifying new buying centers and engaging different personas within the account (NetOps, SecOps, DevOps, Cloud Architects, Security and Fraud leaders etc).
  • Working closely with Account Executives to refine ideas and develop new strategies to deliver F5’s message to our buyers.
  • Leverage prospecting tools such as Salesforce’s High Velocity Sales, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Lusha or other local social media and outbound calling techniques to schedule meetings with identified target accounts.
  • Effectively turn prospects into opportunities and revenue pipeline by qualifying through the PANT criteria (Pain, Authority, Need and Timeline).
  • Collaborate with marketing, field sales, and product teams to facilitate new programs, messaging, campaigns, and offerings.
  • Communicate and engage through video conferencing and navigate phone systems, voicemail systems, front desk operators and administrative assistants to reach intended business contacts.
  • Ensure opportunity handoffs to sales are successful and exceed the customer's satisfaction.
  • Ensure reporting and communications are frequent and bi-directional.
  • Exhibit qualities of overachievement, self-motivation, good teamwork, and positive attitude.
  • Meet and exceed minimum activity metrics: 50 Dials, 10 conversations, and 50 emails per day.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales prospecting experience through social media, cold callings, emails and writing qualification notes.
  • Core sales skills related to initiating conversations, uncovering basic needs, connecting needs to high level F5 solution and driving interest in continued discussion with sales team members.
  • Skill in using Salesforce CRM tool for leads management, prospecting, emailing, and calling is a must.
  • Previous experience with technology companies selling SaaS, IaaS, or PaaS is a plus.
  • Fluency in English.

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.   
  • Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material. 
  • Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, not exceeding 10% of the time spent traveling.
