Deep Learning Verification Engineer

Job Description

The Movidius VPU IP team is looking for a Digital Verification Engineer to develop validation strategy for Movidius VPUs AI accelerator products. In this role you will join the Movidius Hardware Validation team working closely with multiple internal SoC partners, Hardware Engineers and AI architects to define and drive the validation Strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and Implementing the validation strategy for Computer Vision algorithms and Deep Learning AI accelerators

  • Develop architecture and micro-architecture knowledge of these complex digital design block(s).

  • Implementation of functional verification environments (Test benches)

  • Development of test plans & test cases.

  • Implementation of checkers, random test generators, high level transactional models and bus functional models (BFMs)

  • Performing simulation, random and focused stimulus generation and coverage analysis

  • Develop processor-based validation of entire VPU IP.


Qualifications

Educational Requirement:

BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar field

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in Digital Design Validation

  • Background in the pre-silicon verification of complex ASIC, SoC or FPGA designs

  • Proven track record of successful first-time delivery of projects

  • A self-starter with the ability to assume leadership roles

  • Ability to work well in a diverse team environment

  • Experience with industry standard development and verification tools and methodologies

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with OVM/UVM based validation

  • Experience with Processor-Based, RTEMs and Embedded C Validation

  • Experience with formal verification, Assertions, code and functional coverage implementation and analysis

  • Experience with languages such as SystemC, C++, Perl, TCL, Shell scripting, Python, System-Verilog

  • Experience with SoC based CPUs, NoCs, AMBA Protocols, Memory controllers

  • Experience with Power-aware and X-Propagation simulation

Leixlip is the primary location for this position, however, we offer flexibility to work from other Intel sites in Shannon and Cork. In addition, we are happy to support flexible work/life balance arrangements.
