Senior Sales Representative
UPT Equipment, UOP China



SUMMARY:

UOP is a wholly owned subsidiary of Honeywell. It is an international supplier of process technology, products, equipment, engineered systems, and technical services to the petroleum refining, petrochemical, gas processing and energy industries and is a leader in the research and development of petroleum and petrochemical processing. Our broad objectives center on the continual development and improvement of petroleum refining technology.

This position is for equipment sales activities in the assigned region and reports to the Sr. Sales Manager, UPT China.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY include the following (Other duties may be assigned):




Product lines: Technologies and Equipment for Refining and Petrochemicals Industries, including PET solid state polycondensation (SSP) projects;
Customer base: Refining, Petrochemicals, Chemical Fiber Producers and EPC contractors in China;
Meet individual sales target and provide good contribution to meet the team target;
Develop effective customer relationships through the sales process;
Work with UOP technical teams to prepare, translate and issue technical proposals and technical presentations;
Make technical presentations to customers, design institutes and EPCs;
Draft, negotiate, and finalize appropriate technical and commercial agreements;
Prepare project specific technical and sales strategies for each sales event;
Organize and lead internal RFQ/proposal review and bid strategy meetings;
Gather competitive intelligence;
Work with customers to set expectations for UOP’s service interaction by working closely with UOP’s regional service managers;
Act as a gateway into UOP for refining and petrochemicals customers in region;
Provide needed background and context information to allow UOP to determine best path forward with specific customer needs and requests;
Assist SBU management with managing the interface with key clients;
Assist in identifying and communicating cross-SBU project opportunities to the relevant SBU.




Candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, per Honeywell standards. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

University level engineering degree (Chemical Engineering, Chemical Fiber, Chemical Machinery, Equipment preferred);
At least 5 years working experience with preference given to the Refining, Petrochemicals or a related industry. Ideally the candidate has experience for PET bottle grade polycondensation (SSP);
PC literate;
Able to communicate fluently in English and Chinese, both spoken & written;
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills;
Strong presentation skills and verbal and written communication skills;
An ability to work independently;
Strong analytical skills;
Building Strong relationships;
Strong desire to win;
Highly motivated;
Team player;
Customer focus;
Comfortable with 50% travel.
