Job Description: This position is responsible for contributing to the development of technical courseware (pre and post General Availability) for VMware customers, partners, and internal technical stakeholders. Course development includes traditional instructor led training through lecture and labs in addition to self-paced eLearning content. Job role and Responsibilities: Assist in developing customer facing Technical Training Content for VMware vRealize product line for Instructor Led, OnDemand, and eLearning course formats. Contribute to the development of Hands-on Labs for technical training curriculum. Participate in retrospective meetings of courses developed and provide feedback to improve courseware. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand roadmap, product design, and usability for customers. Collaborate with VCIs, PM, TPMs and Engineering SMEs to validate course design and content. Update and maintain existing courseware and labs with direction from peers. Participate in ongoing meetings regarding project status. preferred skills Understanding of Containers and Kubernetes technologies. Understanding of public cloud, private cloud, and monitoring tools. VCTA-DCV, VCTA-CMA, or similar certification. Public Cloud Certification (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.). required skills 1-2 years’ experience developing technical training materials. 1-2 years’ experience in the technical industry preferably with a focus on Cloud Computing or automation technologies. Exposure to VMware technologies including VMware vRealize. Knowledge of systems administration in Linux/UNIX and Microsoft Windows operating systems and applications. Experience using instructional design models, including: Instructional design principles and methodologies. Analyzing audience needs and tying them to business requirements. Designing and developing student and instructor guides. Creating tests and practical lab activities. Experience with content development tools, eLearning tools, and methodologies including PowerPoint, Word, Camtasia, Xyleme, Storyline, etc. Aptitude for learning new technologies and using them in developing courseware. Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Work with multiple VMware teams regarding consistency of training materials. Traveling time of 10% may be needed, as per business requirements.
