SAP’s Professional Services Industry team drives innovative SAP solutions to market through collaboration with the SAP development teams, enabling SAP industry field teams in major markets globally and help customers and prospects in the professional services industries to run their business more effectively through both proven and new, innovative SAP solutions.

The IBU head is responsible together with his/her team to work with different business units with SAP as well as our ecosystem to drive the success and growth of SAP in the Professional Services industry.

3 key elements are Thought Leadership – Innovation and Go-to-Market

Thought Leadership

Primary spokesperson for SAP in Professional Services, internally as well as with customers, partners, media and analysts

Lead the Professional Services Industry Executive Advisory council consisting of senior IT and business leaders from SAP’s customers

Build industry networks and influence to Identify new partnership opportunities to drive Industry Cloud Solutions for Professional Service

Field and partner enablement, including industry specific thought leadership, sales assets, training curriculum

Innovation

Contribute to solution portfolio and roadmap and collaborate closely with product engineering in the delivery of high-quality solutions, including validation and acceptance of new innovations

Further increase SAP’s Cloud footprint in the Professional Services industry

Portfolio and ecosystem strategy, including industry specific offering, build-buy-partner recommendations

Go-to-Market

Industry GTM strategy, business planning, and alignment with regional leadership while driving operating model, versus organizational model. (i.e. management by influence, strong internal communication, interlock, etc.)

Drive more focus on Customer Success by increasing SAP’s industry relevance and scalability through field and partner enablement & investments in people and partnerships

Customer engagement and pipeline generation, including large deal support and executive relationships

Eco-system strategy and partner alignment to drive scale, including joint go-to-market, joint portfolio planning, eco-system development

New products introduction to the market

Solutions definition and assembly across all market categories, supported by strong value proposition, customer references and pricing

Content development driving marketing and communication campaigns

Additionally of course strong people management and leadership is required

Direct management of global team of solution managers and experts

360° management of the primary domains of SAP’s business with integration across Industry and Customer Advisory, Product Engineering, Digital Business Services, Partner Management, and Marketing & Solutions

Employ short/mid/long-term focus to balance execution of the business, with needed transformation of the business

Establishing and management of global virtual teams

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

Thorough understanding of the industry, key trends and opportunities, competitive landscape, Cloud

Track record of exceeding ambitious revenue and profitability targets

Experience in managing effectively and through influence in a matrix organization

Experience in managing a business of scale; strong bias / motivation towards significant growth above market

Strong customer centricity (time invested, quality achieved, differentiation with competitors, references, etc.)

Proven business development & sales leadership skills in both new markets and mature / established markets

Executive presence, excellent communication skills (internal and external)

Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels

International experience; understanding of the varied business and cultural environments around the globe

Experience in managing global / diverse and virtual teams

Highly motivated by the opportunity to identify critical trends, technology innovations and partnerships and to combine them with existing solution capabilities to create new markets and opportunities in an industry

Focus on quality and excellence

Experience in establishing strategic partnerships on business side and IT Side for large professional services companies

Has worked in consulting company over several years.
