Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM’s Ecosystem is seeking a Technology Partner Architect. The candidate will provide technical sales support for their sales territory of named accounts, supporting the IBM Hybrid Cloud, IBM Middleware and Automation Software Portfolio. A self-reliant, technical leader with hands-on experience with IBM Hybrid Cloud, IBM Middleware and Automation Software Technologies, is desired. Understanding of hybrid cloud deployment architectures and DevOps is important. Experienced technical professional who will deliver technology presentations, compelling demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, deep-dive discussions, and whiteboard sessions. The candidate will demonstrate the business value and technical strength of the IBM Software Portfolio to Independent Software Vendors, Cloud Service Providers and Managed Service Providers looking to integrate/deliver IBM software value add capabilities with their commercial solutions.
As a Technology Partner Architect, you will:
-Develop broad-ranging expertise across the IBM technology portfolio to support your assigned partners,
-Own the technical relationship with partners and work to establish a reputation as a trusted technology expert, and shape partner’s technical agenda toward IBM’s Growth offerings,
-Drive partners to adopt IBM technology as the basis for solutions and as part of their reference architectures,
-Enable partner’s technical capability both pre-sales and delivery to ensure productive use of IBM technology,
-Collaborate with IBM technical specialists to identify components and design solutions for partners and clients,
-Work closely with the sales team and provide technical expertise to ensure the business objectives are met.
The successful candidate has technical sales, technical design, and solution delivery experience. They will collaborate with the IBM Ecosystem sales team to provide technical sales support to progress and close deals, while developing relationships with partners.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
-Developing Applications and Architecture
-Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the IT industry
-Solid understanding of IBM Hybrid Cloud, IBM Middleware and IBM Automation Technologies,
-Strong Oral and Written Communication, and Presentation Skills
-Creative thinking and Problem-solving skills
-Business Development and Relationship Management
-Leadership and Management skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
-BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Science, Math or equivalent experience
-At least 3 years of experience in a direct customer-facing technical sales role
-At least 2-3 years of experience selling/implementing IBM Hybrid Cloud, IBM Middleware and IBM Automation Technologies,
-Experience with IBM Cloud IaaS & PaaS
-At least 3 years of experience with at least one database technology (e.g., Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL)
-Understand API models, XML, Web Services, RESTful Architectures
-Production Analytics Implementation Experience in projects with considerable data size (TB/ PB) and complexity
Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
