Job Role and Responsibilities: Reporting to the Vice President of Worldwide Strategy and Sales Acceleration, the VP of Worldwide Sales Effectiveness will have the mission to drive predictable business practices, in partnership with Sales and Operations leadership teams and accelerate the VMware new business model. This is accomplished through driving efficiency, capability and excellence in sales processes, providing proactive insights that enable better decision-making, and exhibiting leadership through measurable outcomes. This critical role participates in VMware’s overall transformation to SaaS, implementing the required Go-To-Market changes, and collaborating with the different Sales and Sales Effectiveness teams to enable sustainable and scalable sales processes and initiatives. Priorities & Responsibilities: Lead the Worldwide Sales Effectiveness team (~460 people) with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion and talent development Transform and design the WW Sales processes from opportunity to quote, and from cash to renew, execution in collaboration with the Sales Effectiveness teams in the Geos. Those processes include but are not limited to forecast, pipeline, business reviews, account planning, opportunity management Drive execution and adoption globally Partner with VMware Operations and Finance teams on the quote to cash processes evolution Execute Worldwide Sales Strategy and Plan in collaboration with the GTM Strategy & Planning VP – short term and long term, to drive growth and productivity Standardize Worldwide Sales Business Management System (BMS) and cadence throughout Geos and our solutions portfolio Transform BMS to support new SaaS & Subscription business models Integrate new solutions into our Sales operating model Provide business analytics and insights to the Worldwide EVP of Sales, enabling better decision making, actions, and follow up; drive for consistent and aligned metrics and dashboards to measure business performance Partner with VMware Operations on the CRM governance Lead the Managed Sales services center of excellence across the world to drive process efficiency and transformation, and cost optimization Advise on investment priorities in collaboration with Sales & Finance teams, to drive the best return on investment Identify strategic initiatives and charter for Sales Effectiveness, acceleration to Cloud and transformation to SaaS, and ensure they drive required outcomes.
