Intel’s Client XPU Products and Solutions (CXPS) business unit is looking for a world class GameDev Devrel Program Manager to join them. In this role the selected candidate will set the strategic direction for the company and then drive a cross functional team to deliver on it. That team will be responsible for delivering on both technical and business aspects of the program.
Overview of Responsibilities:
Apply your deep domain expertise to empower Intel to produce amazing services for Game Developers
Drive the team to deliver on those plans and create those services.
Track and manage the execution of your plans including key performance indicators tied to awareness, adoption, utilization, developer satisfaction, and success.
Care deeply about the Game Developer community – want to see them achieve their full potential, and succeed, as demonstrated by:
driving discussions with stakeholders, and acting as a trusted business advisor
possessing deep connections in the indie gaming industry
May not be a rock star software programmer, but understands the technology behind game development. What are the trends? Where is the industry going? What does Intel need to do in order to steer the industry where we want it to go?
Identify tasks, determine dependencies, assign specific resources, communicate expectations to team members, obtain task effort and duration estimates from team members, and create/track the project schedule
Assess risk and identify issues. Monitor progress against schedule. Coordinate resources with other functions. Review user and technical requirements for completeness and clarity.
Plan and schedule work to meet deadlines established by others to ensure the completion of several related tasks
Use judgement in data analysis to develop and design solutions for complex processes
Able to work across country and organizational boundaries on a worldwide, diverse team
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
10+ years’ experience with developer programs OR game development at a mid-sized studio
5+ years successful planning, budgeting, and execution of programs.
Deep understanding of the games market - all segments but especially PC
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a directly related degree
Business development experience
Experience managing/ leading a team
