Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years collaborating with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements
• 3+ years of operational experience or customer support experience
• 4+ experience with distributed systems

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with VMWare V-Sphere, NSX, vSAN, ESXi
• Experience with RESTful service development
• Knowledge of 2 or more of the following: Linux, Go, Kubernetes, Python, Ansible, C#, F#
• Creating documentation for engineering use (design, diagnostics, troubleshooting guides)
• Experience with Azure Data Explorer or similar

• Support VMware environments in collaboration with Microsoft and VMware
• Develop, operate, and scale services to manage the lifecycle of software-defined VMware environments
• Construct monitoring and self-healing actions to maximize platform and service quality

• Solve hard distributed system problems while making changes to fundamental Azure control and data plane components, networking and operating systems
