Ideal candidate has background to understand and identify product categories across multiple layers of Software, Windows Operating System, Kernel, Compiler, Drivers, BIOS features, Enterprise Software ..Etc. As a Windows Software Product Manager, you'll be owning and driving all platform software aspects and producing best in class solutions for next generation of Consumer, and Enterprise products based on Windows on Snapdragon.

In this role you will work closely with software architects, OS and kernel developers, CPU architects and SOC architects to define performance optimization strategies to deliver the best performing Windows on Snapdragon desktop devices.

We are looking for a self-starter, with excellent people and leadership skills to drive analysis and planning with senior technical members from broad set of teams across Qualcomm and external partners. Should be able to self-manage and work through ambiguous issues and requirements. The candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of software architecture that scales and is portable across diverse Windows on Snapdragon compute products based on Qualcomm SoCs

  • Partner closely with the core technology teams to create a roadmap of software offerings to OEMs, ODMs & third-party application vendors.

  • The right candidate would need to have a deep technical understanding to work and drive software engineering to achieve the above goals. The candidate will need to work with multiple teams from technology product management and engineering and must have the ability to work across teams and build consensus.

  • Deep understanding of Windows Operating System

  • Proficiency with software portability across multiple generation hardware platforms

  • Present data to the team and leadership on product software gaps and options to close the gaps and expand market reach.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for analysis, optimizations, benchmarks ..etc.

  • Collaborates with others inside and outside of project team to accomplish project objectives.

  • Makes decisions based on incomplete, contradictory, and ambiguous requirements and information that affect policies and multiple teams in the software development process. Manages project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for larger projects.

  • Acts as a tech lead on projects and owns the outcome of the project.

  • Leads others with technical credibility.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.

• 8+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fifteen or more years of related professional experience in technology and product management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or a related technical field of study.

  • Experience working in and scaling ecosystems, businesses, and teams - including OEM, ODM and app developer ecosystem for Windows.

  • Experience working with multiple operating systems and/or software platforms with deep full stack understanding.

  • Ability to have technical depth and to approach deep/complex technology challenges with the appropriate structural approach.

  • Interests on where computing is headed and technology ideas on how to accelerate those changes.

  • Skilled at operating in a complex, cross-functional organization or company where your teams need to collaborate and integrate with other teams across many disciplines.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and is articulate with both technical and business partners. Ability to create effective frameworks to aid discussion of complicated topics.

  • Deep understanding of key macro trends in the industry.

Pay range:

$189,000.00 - $284,000.00
