Perform quality activities to support testing and failure analysis of returned products. Provide quality support to appropriate groups: engineering, manufacturing, quality and design assurance, system/services, incoming/line/final inspection and post market, etc. Develop, apply, monitor, measure, document, improve, and communicate quality methodologies from prodcut development through end of life of a product.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform troubleshooting electronics circuits or mechanical failures to find root cause
  • Able to use lab equipment (DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Microscopes, custom test fixtures gauges, , etc.)
  • Document all investigation and analysis resuts in analysis porition of electronic complaint system
  • Identify areas of improvement and participate in continous improvement projects
  • Train to all documents and procedures related to the job in a timely manner
  • Assist in developing and qualifying test methods, data sheets, test fixtures, and testing equipment
  • Assist Quality Engineers as needed to initiate, investigate, and assist in generation and completion of NCEPs/CAPAs.
  • Perform Product Record Review (paper record review) of non-return complaints (DHR, Risk, Labeling, and other records)
  • Support investigation of returned products including sample preparation (cutting metal/plastic electronic housing using Dremel tool, etc.) and disposal where applicable
  • Use documentation systems to research information and generate Change Requests
  • Perform lab maintainance and ensure equipment is calibrated
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess good organization skills and able to multi task
  • Candidate will be traveling to San Jose, CA and staying there up to 2 weeks every months for duation of 2024

Required qualifications:

  • AA degree or better in electronics/mechanical
  • 2+ years of experience in failure analysis lab or equivalent
  • Must have intermediate computer skills to use a computer with Windows 10 higher and is familiar with MS Word and Excel.
  • Must be detailed oriented & quality minded

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS degree or better in electronics/mechanical
  • Familiarity with SAP and other similar computer programs/tools
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations related to medical devices including DHR, GDP, GMP, Complaint Handling, etc.

The anticipated hourly base pay range for this full time position working at this location will be $22.65 -38.50/hour, plus variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements) and the value of core and optional employee benefits being offered at Boston Scientific (BSC), which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated pay range. BSC considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs. Actual compensation may be otherwise adjusted if the position is filled outside of the intended geographic location.
