Quality Lab Analyst


Your role:

  • Conduct physical calibrations such as, but not limited to, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power suppliers, counters, DMMs, calipers, micrometers, torque tools, ovens, temperature controllers, gauge blocks, surface plates, pressure gauges and scales.
  • Test, calibrate and certify instrumentation. Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective action via adjustments, correction factors, etc.
  • Plan, coordinate and expedite daily calibration projects/activities.
  • Coordinate with internal customers and external service providers.
  • Development and maintenance of calibration procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain detailed records of all calibration work performed, write reports, and generate calibration certificates.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

  • Bachelor of Science with at least 1 year of experience or at least 4 years’ experience without a degree.
  • Valid Driver’s License for period travel to other locations to perform necessary work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and project management skills.
  • Experience with IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team and Met/Cal.
  • Proficient in relevant software programs (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project).
  • Strong oral, presentation, and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO Guide 98.
  • Experience in conducting uncertainty analysis and measurement system analysis.
  • Ability to provide sound metrological guidance.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job.
  • Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
  • Comfortable in a fast pace, high demand environment while working independently.
  • Self-starter that can meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual acuity is necessary to do the job safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work flexible working schedule, 2nd shift and on-call as needed.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised and interact with other technicians, engineers, quality personnel and customers.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a regulated industry with working knowledge of 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485 medical device requirements.
  • Experience with Azure, MS SQL and Power BI.
  • Experience in Windchill (or similar product lifecycle management) and change control processes.
